Jane. Partner. Mom. Artist. Chef. Yoga Teacher

My purpose is to create and connect. My chosen medium is food. As I lead a team or set my stage at home -through an art that touches all five senses. Connecting people to places, to artisans, to farmers, and to memories.

My values as a chef align throughout my life… surrender, learn daily, we are on the same team. Have grit. Learn a recipe like the back of my hand, treat all ingredients like it is fresh produce, hold space, listen, teach and love my team well. Keep a journal and be observant. Art and science are meant to support each other until the photo finish. Dualities are false. Doing the work is where inspiration and my truth are found. Learn to trust. Keep moving and engage in the intelligence of my body. Value the entire process not just the final result, that’s were the life is. Strive to take care of yourself. If you are stuck? Rest–take a break. Living through my work and process, informs art techniques and style. Strength through diversity not monoculture. Keep your mind and body moving. Keeping my mind and body active through yoga, while also gaining peace of mind, is an important step in my process as well as life. Be a little Wild! Yes!
